Associate Consultant (Tax Division)

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our Tax Division as an Associate Consultant.

The Role

  • Position Title: Associate Consultant
  • Division: Tax
  • Location: Q Sentral, KL Sentral
  • Reporting To: Manager and/or Senior Manager

Primary Objective

The primary objective of this role is to handle and manage assignments in relation to tax compliance work for corporate and individual taxation.

Key Responsibilities

As an Associate Consultant in Tax, your responsibilities will include:

  • Tax Compliance & Returns:
    • Assisting clients with their tax compliance obligations.
    • Preparing clients’ corporate and individual tax returns.
  • Technical Support & Resolution:
    • Assisting clients with the resolution of tax issues with the Tax Authority.
    • Attending to enquiries on technical issues from other departments within the Company.
    • Assisting senior tax colleagues/subordinates on tax technical and compliance matters.
  • Risk Management:
    • Anticipating and identifying risks and escalating issues accordingly.

Qualifications & Experience

We’re looking for candidates with the following:

  • Education: At least a University’s Bachelor’s Degree and/or post-graduate qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business, Law, Economics, or equivalent. Fresh graduates are welcomed.
  • Experience: Candidates with 1 year of experience in the tax field will have an added advantage.

    • Proficiency in English is essential.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
    • Good interpersonal skills.
